We got some food and watched a couple planes do some cool tricks. After about an hour of napping, Ethan woke up but was super grumpy so he ended up playing with the iPhone (which is both a blessing and a curse for toddlers). We thought he'd be happy once the Blue Angels started to perform, but when we noticed that he wasn't paying attention at all, we decided to beat the crowds to the buses and head out. It was all kind of a bust if you ask me, but at least we got some free grub and got to see some cool tricks.

Air Show
Last Saturday, Ben's firm had their Summer event at the Rochester Air Show. They had a great tent which was located close to the Blue Angels and we got "VIP" tickets to the show (which sure beats paying the $20 ticket price). It was a blazing hot day, so the trek from the local community college on a bus to the air show, was almost enough to make me give up on the entire thing. When we got there Ethan didn't seem interested in anything, since he was overdue for a nap, so once we got to the tent he basically passed out in his stroller. We had worried about the noise and Eleanor's ears, so we bought some ear plugs at Home Depot before the show and managed to stuff them in her ears before the Blue Angels performed.

iPhone ... I know what you mean. We are at Lego land as we speak/type and Weston has been on my phone all day. Glad I paid $100 to gave him be on my phone. Then again... I'm checking my reader :)
Don't you just LOVE outings like that where it could be perfect or it could be a bust...and it ends up being a bust. Just had one of those days myself. Why do I think I can manage two activities in one day with two kids and one me? C'est la vie!
