Golden Boy

Today is Ben's Golden Birthday, which means I don't have to divulge just how old he is today. Not that age matters, right?!? We (I'm speaking for both Ethan and myself) are so lucky to have Ben in our lives. He is an amazing father, worker, and best friend. He keeps me grounded (he's the voice of reason without even having to voice it), explains to me things without making me feel dumb, and makes me want to be a better person. In short, we love Ben.

Since I don't have any super recent pictures of Ben that I haven't previously posted, I wanted to post these little gems that Ben's parents emailed him last week. Happy Birthday Ben!

I can see the most similarities between Ben and Ethan when he is asleep.

Ben is slightly embarrassed by the Cowboys shirt he's wearing. Don't judge... he's still a Redskins fan, which is probably just as bad.

Look at that scrawny kid!

Yep, people may say Ethan looks like a Bruford, but he still looks a lot like Ben to Me! I seriously hope he inherits his awesome voice too. What fun things are you planning for the birthday boy?

Wish we could have been there to celebrate with you guys. Love the shot of Ben sleeping in a dog bed at Aunt Alice's place.

Even if you were only five, you should be ashamed you ever wore a Cowboys sweatshirt.
