Before the party started we cleaned the house and let the kids roam around outside. They looked so cute so I begged them to let me take pictures. They only obliged after being bribed with jelly beans. Thank goodness for bribes.
Not only was the weather great, but the food was fantastic and the company was perfect. And this year, Ethan finally ate more than just rolls and dessert. He gave the corned beef a try and actually liked it. He's finally coming around to more food than just bread and cheese. Though he did insist on trying every type of dessert, but who could blame him?
And with all this gorgeous weather we have been playing. Playing on the swing set, busting out trikes and other ride-on toys, playing baseball, blowing bubbles and enjoying the sunshine. On one particular day while Ethan was asleep, Eleanor got into Ethan's Legos and was so focused on deconstructing everything so I busted out the camera. She's a stinker, but we love her.
These next two pictures are so alike it's uncanny. They're both Lego addicts.
Then one day while Eleanor was napping, Ethan and I put some batteries in the bubble blower he got from our neighbor's mother. He LOVED it.
Then yesterday with church at 1 pm we had a leisurely morning filled with backyard playing. Eleanor insisted on sitting in the big swing and getting pushed. It still makes me nervous and I'd prefer her to sit in the baby swing.
After dinner tonight Eleanor went pant-less outside to play. She cracks us up.
Oh Spring, I truly hope you're here to stay.
