A Case of The Mondays

Yesterday morning was a little atypical for Ethan. He usually comes into our room around 7 or 7:30 where he declares, "it's just a good day!" Then he hops in bed where we try to make him fall back asleep between us (which never happens), and then we give up and either give him the iPad or an iPhone. So yesterday he came in kind of whiny and after he got in bed he continually whined until he fell asleep. Ben got up to get ready (a little late since Ethan is usually his alarm clock) and then I finally got up at 9 to take a shower and Ethan was still passed out in our bed. He kept acting really lethargic and after Ben left I tried to get him ready for preschool. He wouldn't stand up for more than a couple seconds before leaning against something. While watching a show and eating an english muffin he puked. C'mon, seriously!?!? Not this again! I told him he couldn't go to preschool because we didn't want him to throw up on his friends. He was sad, but cheered up when he got to watch TV practically all morning. That must have cured him because by 2 he was totally normal again. Running around like a crazy person and doing all sorts of shenanigans, and Eleanor was there to join in on the fun.

So since Ethan was feeling well enough, I took him to swim class. Ethan has been doing a swim class at the Y since the end of February and though he hesitates to go every week, he has really enjoyed it and I can see how his confidence in the water has improved. He has two friends from church that also do it with him so he's at least got some buddies in there; or at least I have some people to talk to during the lesson.

His least favorite part is getting all the way wet. I don't blame him though; I hate it too.

I guess Monday didn't end up being so bad after all.

I'm glad Ethan recovered enough to go swim. Looks like a cute bunch of kids in his swim group! We will have to hit the Scera Pool when you are here in the summer! Splash Splash!

By the way, no more chubby thighs and knees for Ethan!

Blech, so sorry!! Hopefully it was just a fluke thing! I promise we didn't come over with a stealth stomach bug! :)

I love that he begins his days proclaiming "It's just a good day!" How cute is that!? Sound like something my nephew Anderson would say. They have always reminded me so much of eachother. Sorry he had a bad morning, but glad he got over it quick. Such fun Swimming pictures. He's adorable.

Uhm...third picture down of Ethan...I don't even know what to say other than I wish I lived by you so I could experience his darling personality in person. What a crack up! He's too cute. Same with Eleanor. Looked like a super fun party.
