We walked around the museum a little bit before noticing a couple people standing in line in front of where Batman would soon be. So with half an hour to kill I decided to wait in line with Eleanor as Ben and Ethan walked around. I'm so glad I did because the line quickly grew and by the time Batman came out it had to be at least a 45 minute wait. You would have thought there was a celebrity in the place when Batman walked by. All the camera flashes and people so excited to see him. It was hilarious. I'd say that almost every child had some sort of superhero get-up on. We didn't bring Ethan's mask or cape, since we figured that a Batman shirt would suffice. We were 4th in line and were in and out of there and home in time for the little lady to take her nap. It was great. Ethan was pretty shy with Batman, but if anything I think he was totally enamored. It was like a dream come true for him.

Superhero Weekend
A while back we saw a poster in the Museum of Play that said that Batman The Dark Knight would be coming to the museum. We knew that Ethan would love to meet him so we planned our Saturday around going to the museum. Since the weather was pretty lousy and there was an event going on, the museum was packed! We got there a little bit after it opened and shortly found out that Batman would be there an hour later. Blah! With Eleanor's nap at the same time I was a little annoyed.

Ethan was less than enthused to meet Super Why. It was at this point we were worried he'd cry once he met Batman if he was this scared of Super Why.
Then the whole family got in on it. I wonder what Ethan and Eleanor are looking at. Had they been looking at the camera, this could have been a contender for a Christmas card.

So glad Ethan got to meet his superhero! Lance wanted Ethan to know he is copying him from last year and is going as Mario for Halloween!
What is the birthday girl going to be?
