No Rhyme or Reason

There really isn't a theme or point to this entry, I just figured it was time for me to post something new. Things are just going dandy around here. We've been spending way too much time inside if you ask me, but if Mother Nature would be a dear she would send us some beautiful weather. We're hopeful for next week. Especially since Ben's Mom is coming into town for a few days, and well, it's Ethan's birthday on Wednesday! Wahoo for both things!!! I finally get to put up the Birthday banner I made a month ago, and we finally get to have a boy satisfied with a real Buzz Lightyear rather than the stoplight signal from his train set. I'm still not sure as to why he thinks it's Buzz. Creative boy I guess. He has been walking around the house all day saying, "To infinity and beyond!" which comes out sounding nothing like that at all. He's a character.


I hate to be a spoilsport, but we ended up buying Ethan a Buzz and Woody for his birthday. He was shopping with me at the time and cried in the cart when we walked away from the aisle. I couldn't pass up the Buzz on clearance for $2.50 so I bought it and let Ethan hold it. He asked to open it and I told him no, so he spent the time in the store, the car ride home and part of his nap holding that box. After taking a picture I took it out of his crib and hid it from him. I'm so mean. He woke up crying for Buzz but after a while he stopped asking about it.


In other randomness, we are finding out what we are having next Wednesday on Ethan's birthday! Though I may appear to be small, I remember being smaller when I found out what Ethan was at 18 weeks. And this time around I'm finding out at 17 weeks. Things expand a lot faster the second time around I guess.


With guests coming soon, I was trying to clean up a little bit today. I put a bunch of shoes that needed to go upstairs in a pile on the stairs and when I came back from doing a load of laundry I noticed that Ethan has developed some organizing habits. I was impressed.


And lastly, I just took come pictures of Ethan while he was drawing today. He loves to doodle on his magna doodle, but always says he's drawing pictures of big yo-yo's and monsters.

I may have accidentally poked him in the eye right before this photo, which explains the sad face he's giving. I didn't mean to!

Still has lots of baby fat. Love it.

Can't believe this little guy turns two in less than a week!
