Double the Fun

Today marks Ben's 32nd birthday, and Eleanor's 10 month birthday. Since any monthly milestone past 12 months of age is pretty much ignored in our family, we figured this would be the one and only time Ben and Eleanor get to "celebrate" together. Ben spent a typical day at the office and came home to any empty home since we were at a friends home. Once we got home though, we prepped for a dinner of chimichurri flank steak (one of Ben's favorite meals), potatoes and salad. After dinner we took a couple birthday pictures and put a very tired Eleanor down for bed.

The Birthday duo.

These kids adore their Dad.

Since I had made Ben's Mom's chocolate cake for his birthday and it was WAY too much cake for just our family to handle, we invited over some friends and neighbors to join in on the festivities. Of course the kids always end up outnumbering the adults at these type of things, but we had a good time talking and feasting on cake and ice cream.

Happy Birthday, Ben. One year older and definitely wiser too.

hey! that's half of me! Happy Birthday Ben. Your mom would be happy to know I would gladly get fat off of her chocolate cake.

I'm pretty sure Ben's favorite friends are 5-year-olds. Inviting the parents is just polite.

I see what Eleanor is holding in her hands in the second picture!

(I guess she's holding in the first 4 pictures as well)
