I don't know if we completely thought it through over 6 years ago that our anniversary would always be close to Father's Day. That being said, I always feel like Ben gets the shaft when it comes to Father's Day. This year is no different since he decided to take it upon himself to purchase tickets to the Big Apple Circus (which he grew up going to) for Father's Day and then last week received an email saying that they cancelled the tour to Rochester. Boo! So, since I am still currently employed at the Gap, it looks like some new threads were in order for this Daddy-o.
I feel so lucky to have such wonderful "fathers" in my life. My own father will always be the best and I am so happy with the relationship we have. He has always been one to call and check up on me, video chat with the grandkids and never ceases to let us know he cares and tell me how proud he is of me. Then there's Ben's Dad who I have to thank for raising such an amazing son who is now the father to our children. Both Ethan and Eleanor adore Ben (even if Eleanor just says ma-ma-ma all the time). Not only does he work hard to provide for us as a family, he seems to relish the time he gets with our kids. Whether he is playing Legos, drawing pictures, taking the kids to the Museum of Play while I'm working, doing puzzles or playing the guitar, Ben is constant entertainment for our kids.
We love Ben and both Grandpa Bruford and Mudrick and hope their Father's Day rocks!

Rock it Eleanor! She's got rhythm! That is so cute.
We need to get those two together again because Hazel only says da-da-da-da. Maybe they can teach each other.
