Plethora of Projects

I'm struggling for blog post names. This weekend was filled with some projects that ended up leaving us pretty tired. Eleanor best depicts how we felt the end of each night:

These are Ethan's old pj's, but they're so winter-esque.

For the past year or so I've wanted to make Ethan a duvet cover since the little throw blanket he had been using on his bed was floral. Since the throw is down, it's warm so I just wanted something to cover it. While we were running errands on Saturday we stopped into Jo Ann's where Ben spotted this adorable fabric made by Dwell Studio. Later that night I got to work and though I ran into some snags with the fabric shrinking for the backside (it was supposed to be all blue, but shrunk 5 inches!), we like the finished product. I made the pillowcase too.

And since the same print for the girls matched Eleanor's room all too well, we bought some and finally put together the Ikea wood frames we bought forever ago and stretched the fabric over to hang in her room. Then we put her other artwork on her walls. Her room finally looks complete.

And then because we had an extra frame to hang some fabric, I finally busted out the fabric I bought from Ikea back in May to hang in our room. It looks more like a message board or something, but at least it takes up some empty wall space.

With yesterday being the Superbowl, we threw a little shindig but it seems that the only picture I took was of the bread I made. We also made beef fajita nachos, some artichoke dip, and Ben's guacamole. It was all delicious, and the game and company was pretty good too.

Best and easiest bread to make.

As always, I'm impressed with your craftiness! I just made a couple pillows with Dwell S fabric. They're cute. Maybe someday I'll post pics of my decorating--maybe when I actually do more than make a pillow!

Ben's always had a great eye for cute fabric at Jo Ann's.

You are inspiring me to get crafty, but then I just realize I have three kids crammed into one room, and NO WHERE TO PUT ANYTHING! Oh well!

Ummm, I think I need that bread recipe. It looks delish.

yeah, i'm impressed too. The food was delicious and Simon woke up this morning asking if we were going to Ethan's. He misses icy Percy

Did Ethan finally sleep with the new duvet cover on? Did you check to see if it was REAL down? I am assuming that it is...
