Expanding Vocabulary

Everyday Ethan seems to learn some new words. Of course most of them wouldn't be distinguishable to anyone other than us, but he can, for the most part, communicate with us about his surroundings. He will point out things to us in books, on the TV and around him. If you ask him to mimic what you say he does a fairly good job, though he often neglects the last consonant when pronouncing.

There is just one word though that Ethan just can't seem to say or just plain verbalize. Cookie. I don't know what it is, but he's been saying cookie with his mouth closed for a good 6 months or so. Usually the closed-mouth version of "cookie" is generic for anything sweet that is on our table or counter. He can say "coo" and he can say "kie", but can't or at least won't say cookie. We love it and find it hilarious every time he does it.

That's hilarious! Maybe he's saying it like there's already a cookie in his mouth?
