Recently it seems as if we're never here. I guess that's because over the last month we've been home for 9 whole days. It's like we're vagabonds or something. This last week we drove down to Reston, VA to welcome home Ben's youngest brother Jesse from his 2 year LDS Mission in Taiwan. The last time the entire family was together was for his farewell, and in those two years 4 kids have been added to the extended family. That is almost double the amount of kids in 2 years, and all of those kids were born within a 10 month span in 2008. Yowza!
Anyway, it was a lot of fun to see everyone and hang out. We enjoyed many family dinners, a summer birthday celebration, a homecoming talk at Church, a trip to the National Zoo, an outing at the Nationals game, the train game (much to my chagrin), Bananagrams (I'm addicted), Scrabble and Wits and Wagers. It was a lot to take in and to think we were going to do more! We were going to leave on Monday, but we were enjoying ourselves so much that we extended our stay just one more day.
Thanks for all the fun, Mudricks! We wish we lived closer to you guys so that we could have this much fun on a regular basis!

Bath time with cousin Stella.

Enjoying Grandma Mud's famous chocolate cake! Much better than my version.

Where in the world have all those Mudricks gone?

Mudricks, McDaniels and Ostraffs.

Ethan teaching his cousins the ways of Yo Gabba Gabba.

Attempting to get a 2008 Babies shot. Successful?!? No. Even with Ben attempting to play peek-a-boo from his shirt.

Possibly the best shot of all of them together.

The three cousins closest in age.

Mudrick kids and their spouses.

Playing songs and singing.

It wasn't until everyone else said something that we began to notice how much Ethan sticks his tongue out.

Catching some rays at the Nationals game.

Ethan's first ride on the Metro. He looks like a pro.

Looks like a blast; Ben must have a great family! Oh, and happy (late) birthday to you. I was sort of preoccupied this year and missed yours (and mine). Sorry! I hope it was a good one. :)
Don't you just love family get togethers?! I love Ethan's flip flops. So cute!
i'm not going to lie...for some very very strange reason that i cannot explain, when i first looked at your post, i glanced at all the photos. i seriously thought the last one was ethan with a stripper pole.
