After 10 days, we had to say "bye" to my Mom as she flew back to Utah this afternoon. We loved having her here with us and though she may feel as if she didn't do much to help out, we appreciate all the baby holding, soothing, food making, cleaning and catering to our needs that she did. It was so great to be able to have both of my parents here and though my Dad left last Sunday, we were able to steal my Mom away for another week. We took Ethan on plenty of excursions including his 1 week check-up at the pediatrician where we found out that he's already gained over a pound since coming home from the hospital! Our little guy isn't going to be little for much longer I can already tell. Thanks Mom (and you too Dad) for everything, we love you and can't wait to see you again in July!

When you start out with one awesome, calm, new mom and one very helpful, adoring new dad, and add one sweet, adorable, easy baby, there just isn't much need for a grandma...other than to enjoy and love the adorable new baby too. I miss all of you already, but I know you are all doing well without me!

Woah! One pound more in a week?? Holy cow! Way to go! Ethan is so cute. And we put Sam in those kimono tops a lot, too. Dan was jumping the gun when he put Sam in those huge shorts and Hawaiian top...
