So we've had the last 8 weeks to get adjusted to being a family of 5 and so far so good. Of course we've really only had about half that time on our own since the first four were filled with grandparents who came to our aid and helped us ease the transition. It was fantastic to have family and friends here and I think it's a tossup between us and the kids as to who was the most disappointed to have our visitors leave.
Since it is inevitable that I am going to be a horrible blogger for the next while, I think posting pictures without a great deal of dialogue is the route I'll be taking for the next little bit. And to be honest, it's all about the pictures anyway, right?!
So, for your viewing pleasure here are the last 8 weeks:
| Our first night at home. Harriet was very alert though it didn't last long. |
| After a 5 am feed, Harriet was very sleepy and smiley. |
| More sleepy grins. |
| Notice the long nails. She wore socks on her hands for the first few weeks of life to prevent scratches to the face. |
| This was the first outfit I bought for Harriet when I found out we were having another girl. |
| This was on my due date (3/27). |
| We took the kids to a playground to get them out of the house. |
| Aunt Natalie is the best! |
| Dying eggs on Easter Sunday. |
| Our fridge decided to die while we had family in town. We replaced it with this beauty. |
| Grandpa Bruford came to stay after his trade-show in Connecticut. He also helped rebuild the stairs down to our basement. |
| We took a stroll through Washington Grove. A few weeks later all the leaves came out on the trees. |
| Changing Eleanor's diapers seems like a joke now that we have a newborn. She is huge! |
| Ethan loves his baby sister and frequently asks to see her and talk to her. |
| Grandma Bruford spent plenty of time reading to Eleanor. |
| Grandpa Mudrick made a quick trip up to meet Harriet. |
| My childhood best friend, Lindsey, came out for 24 hours to meet our newest addition. |
| The kids love their surrogate Aunt. |
| Ethan started tee-ball! He is enjoying playing on a team with a few classmates from preschool. |
| This little beauty is changing all the time and she is such a joy! |
