Big Things Are Happening

OK, so nothing ground breaking has really happened to either of them, but a couple of firsts have taken place in the last week for both Ethan and Eleanor.

Ethan: For the first time, last night he slept through the night without a diaper or wetting the bed. After at least 3 weeks of waking up with a dry pull-up or diaper we tried it out, and success! Also, today was his first day of preschool. We are doing a co-op with 6 other kids from church. We each take turns teaching for 5 weeks (two times a week for a total of 10 times), and I think today went fairly well. Or at least Ethan said that he had fun and didn't miss me. He really seems like a big kid these days.

He wouldn't let me take a photo of him this morning, so this was this afternoon.

Eleanor: I don't know if we haven't been that observant or what, but it seems that in the past week Eleanor has learned to wave "hi" and "bye", give kisses, somewhat say "Mama" and "Dada" (or at least she repeats us for the most part), climb stairs (and fall down them too unfortunately; just once though and nothing major), points at babies in books and she's finally eating baby food. Oh, and she's cutting yet another tooth. She too is growing up so fast, and I can't believe that in 7 weeks she'll be a one year-old.
