Springtime Projects

With our trip to Paris coming up soon (yay!) I need some way to pass the time. Between sessions of General Conference yesterday, I whipped up this iPad case to temporarily store our iPad. It won't protect it from when Ethan plays with it, but it will store it nice and neat.

Then today I decided to finally make something with the reusable cotton bags that I bought for $1 at the Christmas Tree Shops. I used this tutorial and a couple hours later Eleanor had a new top. She's already almost too big for it. Yikes, it better get some use soon!

Before

After

And here's the other one I made.

And the first thing Eleanor does is attempt to eat it. Nice muffin top, girl.

And speaking of fashion, I just thought this little outfit seemed so Paris chic on Eleanor. She's ready for the upcoming trip too.

And then there's Ethan. He has shown the slightest bit of interest in potty training so we're going with it. Here he is watching "Animaniacs" in hopes of going potty. The other day he sat on the potty for 1.5 hrs. He finally went too. Good work, buddy! Baby steps, right?

And remember how I said previously that Ethan likes to do puzzles? Well today he finished his 28 piece one all by himself. Here he is giving the thumbs up for his achievement.

Wow, you have some mad skills, girl! I am going to live vicariously through you when you head to France. So if you don't mind, I'd like a fabulous croissant, a french baguette, some amazing shopping, and anything else you can think of that's delicious! :) Can't wait to hear all about it!

You've got mad crafting skills, I tell you! Some of us weren't born with that gene. And good luck with potty training. It's no fun no matter how you look at it...but the end result is (obviously) worth it.

Hey Amanda. This is Jen (Kirk) Paul, from your freshman ward. Just saw the link you posted on facebook to your blog. I'm totally making that cute shirt/dress you made for my little one. Hopefully it'll turn out as cute as yours.

Love the blog.

That's it! I talked to Ty, I'm getting a sewing machine and taking some classes. It's time for me to get as crafty as you! I love everything you make--you have a great eye for design and colors...seriously.
