Weekend Adventure Catch-Up

It seems I have forgotten to post about what we did a couple weekends ago and since we were able to do a lot with visitors in town this weekend, I've got some catching up to do! Here is a photo essay of our adventures:

We went to an open house for PBS, or as Ethan calls it, "Dot Org". He loved seeing Buddy from "Dinosaur Train".

He was mostly looking forward to seeing the Cat in the Hat. We were kind of skeptical of the costume. Doesn't seem that legit.

But nothing could compare to this beaten-up version of Big Bird. Poor guy looks like he got in a fist fight and lost.

The leaves have started to really fall. Mostly from our neighbors tree.

Ethan enjoys going outside daily and pushing the leaves around.

Our friends Jake and Ashley came up from Frederick, MD for the weekend. We took them to the Museum of Play (no pics) and to the Erie canal one day.

Erie Canal in Fairport.

Then we took a trip to Canada to visit Niagara Falls. It was an absolutely beautiful day.

Our friends hadn't been on the Maid of the Mist and neither had Ethan, so we took a ride.

We got a lot more wet than the last time we went over 2 years ago.

Ethan got soaked! We had to strip off his shirt, pants, socks, and shoes after we got off the boat.

The American falls.

Ashley, Jake & Avery.

We then took the Andersons to see Niagara-on-the-Lake. It was packed since it was Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. Who knew?!

Ethan enjoyed throwing rocks into Lake Ontario.

The next day we went to Palmyra, NY to see the Church sites. Unfortunately a lot of the leaves had already dropped by the sacred grove, but it was still beautiful.

Palmyra Temple.

Ethan and Avery throwing rocks into the stream. He really liked Avery who is 11 months younger than him. We were somewhat surprised because of the age difference but he has talked about her frequently since the Andersons left. Hopefully it's indicative of how he'll be with his little sister.

And the adventure continues in pregnancy. Here is today at 38 weeks.

I won't tell Jane about how Ethan feels about Avery...It'll just hurt her feelings. But, those long distance relationships never work, so Jane still has a chance.

That Big Bird looked totally busted! But I'm sure Ethan didn't notice. Looks like you guys have been busy!

Thanks for such a fun trip! It was great getting Avery and Ethan together and even better that they got along so well! Good luck in your final days before baby girl comes! can't wait to meet her!
