The Waiting Game

Yep, still here. For some unexplained reason I had thought that I was going to have this baby early, but it looks as if my instincts have failed me. Then when I thought I was in early labor on Thursday night and we made a trip to the hospital at midnight only to be monitored for a couple hours then sent home, my instincts failed me once again. Now I question if I even know what it's like to be in labor. I've done it before right?!? I guess I should have realized that since this entire pregnancy has been vastly different from Ethan's that I wouldn't know when I'm in labor. So, now we wait. Ben's Mom took off this morning to be home for a couple days then will make the trek to Minnesota for Ben's sister Mary's baby. Hopefully she won't miss both births. Luckily my Mom flew in last night so we will have someone here for when we need to take off for the hospital.

Today at 40.5 weeks

So since we've been around for the last few days rather than in the hospital we decided we'd do some of the things that we were planning on not doing for Halloween. We went to Ben's work for trick or treating, carved pumpkins, and are probably going to our ward trunk or treat tonight (hopefully I am jinxing myself). We were so lucky to have Ben's Mom with us for the last 2 weeks; I just hope that she didn't get sick of learning MarioKart from the instruction manual that Ethan made her read to him daily. We will miss having her here, but she will get to meet our little one in a couple weeks when we go down to VA for Thanksgiving.

Ethan was more interested in his reflection than using the spoon to scoop out pumpkin seeds.

He loved the pumpkins, just not the fact that we took his Mario hat away for the photo.
