It's Never Too Early to Decorate

Ok, that's a lie. I used to think that decorating/listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving was a little ridiculous and premature, but with Thanksgiving being 5 days later than it was last year (correction: that was 2007, it's one day later this year; thanks Mom), we figured that by the time we got back from Virginia it would practically be December! So since I didn't have work on Saturday and we had our whole day ahead of us, we decided to set up for Christmas. Ethan was more interested in dancing to the music than setting up the tree, but he's making up for it now by taking off his favorite ornaments and playing with them on his train table. We're excited for Thanksgiving in Virginia this week and are glad that we won't have any setting up to do before December is upon us next week!

* As for the presents under the tree, they are the ones from my parents that they sent early since we won't be with them for Christmas and it's a children's nativity set. I wanted to wrap them so at least Ethan has SOMETHING to open.*

Sorry, but Thanksgiving was 1 day LATER last year, on the 27th. (I know because it was on our anniversary!) But hey, it's never too early to enjoy the festivities with a little one! Sooo, did you get Ethan's gift set up and working yet? Since the tree is already up, it wouldn't hurt!

Oops, you're right! I guess I was thinking of 2007. Oh well. Early bird gets the worm I guess.

Are those PRESENTS under the tree? How is Ethan not ripping them open? I had a present on a table for a friend's baby and Naomi reached up and opened it.

I am all for decorating early! More time to enjoy it all! Ethan is too cute! So I noticed your sillohette pictures hanging above your staircase. Where did you get those done? I have been wanting to get some done of our little family. I love em' so cute!

Ok, I LOVE the stockings and I LOVE the silhouettes pictures. Did you make them?

And on another note... that turkey recipe looks so good. I already have a recipe for the turkey and it has a similar butter thing so I'm glad to hear that is a good idea to soak your turkey in freaking butter. But I have to try that recipe of Ina's sometime. Everything of hers is literally to die for.

Booo, fake tree. I'm still holding out and making sure we have a real one. Your place looks great, can't wait to see you guys this week.

Hey, Stella has the same train table! The only problem is she prefers climbing on it and kicking her toys around over playing civilly. Sigh.
