National Holiday at State Parks

We celebrated the 4th yesterday by visiting two state parks in our area. Letchworth and Stony Brook are fairly close to Rochester which made it perfect for a little day trip. We packed a lunch to eat while we were out there and we were able to enjoy the beautiful summer weather of low 70 degree temperatures. We took loads of pictures, so here is a collection of some of the shots from yesterday.

On the way there.

Sitting by Aunt Nat made traveling so much better.

Ecstatic to be at Letchworth!

Upper Falls.

Inspiration Point.

Family Shot.

Ethan loves to pull this face as of late.

Aunt Nat with her new do (she chopped off about 10" of her hair).

Ethan is so sophisticated eating Ritz. Pinkies up!

He wouldn't dare take a step, but he would stand.

It's true. Laywers are evil. I'm not sure I can say the same for lawyers though.

If my hair weren't so out of control this could have been a good family shot.

At Stony Brook park. The water was a chilly 56 degrees so we didn't swim.

There were plenty of people there who should not have been wearing bikinis.

Ethan saw a dog at this point and was very excited.

The highest falls at Stony Brook.

It was a long day, so Ethan was really happy to just veg by the end of the day and watch some tv.

When we came home we had a great dinner of chimichurri flank steak, salad, potatoes, and company dessert. Mmmmm. We didn't end up watching any fireworks since they started about an hour past Ethan's bedtime, but we sure did hear them. Thanks Aunt Natty for coming up for the weekend. We are glad we could spend another 4th of July with you!

I'm missing you all already. But San Diego is not that far away...in terms of time.

Peter is the size of Ethan's leg.

Ohhhh...I am NOT saying that Ethan is big! Ethan is adorable. I am saying that Peter is about the same size as the last time you saw him. *Sigh*
