April Showers

If we were having a girl in May the saying that, "April showers bring May flowers" would be appropriate, but I just wanted a catchy title to a post about what's been going on. If you think it's lame, I don't disagree.

So anyway, as you can guess life is still revolving around our growing baby and we're down to 33 more days before his official due date. I had a shower thrown for me at work by some of my co-workers last Friday. It was really nice, especially since one of the people who threw it is due 6 days after me. We got some good loot and we're feeling more and more prepared for this baby to come. Granted we still need some essentials like a stroller, car seat, diapers etc. but that'll come.

We took a tour of the hospital on Sunday and feel more comfortable about what to expect when I'm in labor. By then I'll probably be screaming or something and won't be focusing on where I should be going or what they're doing to me. Hopefully Ben will remember everything for the both of us.

Ben's sister just had her baby on Sunday. Baby Stella is the 2nd baby born on the Mudrick side in the last 2 months. Our little guy will be the last of the bunch in 2008. He's got some cute cousins that will be close in age which should be fun in the future, even if they are girls.

Rochester has finally thawed and we are looking forward to Spring. I never thought 50 degrees could feel so warm! It's rained a few times, which makes me happy since it's not snow. I'll take the rain any day over snow right now; especially since it means I don't have to wash my car.

So that's all. Ben is keeping busy with work and being in the Bishopbric. I still think I work longer hours than he does, though I've cut back to just one night a week at the Gap which has been wonderful. I'll go on maternity leave from there from May 12th until September 8th. I'm very happy about that. As for my regular job, I plan on staying until the Friday before I'm due. I'm not unbearably uncomfortable, so hopefully I'll be able to stick it out. And by stick it out I don't mean how much my belly is sticking out nowadays (and I must give props to Kristen for buying this dress first and finding a cute "normal person" dress that pregnant people can wear... oh yeah and for letting me copy her).

Oh and we did the finishing touches on the crib with the sheets and bed skirt. Thanks Kirby! Gotta love friends with discounts!

Yay! Sooo cute! Looks like your baby wanted to save all the growing for the end of the pregancy! Do you have any names picked out yet???

A few things: First, I love the dress! It looks really good on you. Second, in the picture from your work shower, I thought that the woman in the back was drinking from a baby bottle and wondered what kind of weird games you all had to play. Then I made it larger and saw it was a regular water bottle. Third, holy cow! 33 days? Crazy.

And kristen copied you on the glider/rocker, so you're even now.

It's coming right up! I'm so excited for you. And I love the dress as well. So much so that I actually bought it for myself for Easter--and I'm not pregnant. It's certainly full enough for pregnant bellies, but it's also cute on non-prego gals too. I've already seen two other people (besides you and your friend) wearing it; I guess that's what we get for shopping at Target! I love that place.

Ok, I am so retarded, I thought you guys were still in Virginia!! Even though you have said stuff about Rochester a million times, it never clicked! My apologies... =)
