Alright Already!

Geesh, you neglect the blogging world for 2 weeks and people wonder if you fell off the face of the planet! No, no, that hasn't happened to us, just nothing exciting has been going on for the last two weeks. Things are going well for us and we're just as busy as ever with work and activities outside of work. Between dinners, meetings, birthing classes, church activities and Dr.'s appointments we spend any spare time we've got just relaxing and taking it easy. I guess we should have taken more advantage of the nice weather we had for the last 2 weeks now that it has decided to snow again, but we're just hoping for another "winter thaw" in the future.

The baby is doing well, as of this morning at our prenatal checkup. I'm just over 22 weeks and starting to show more (pictures will be posted later, I promise!), though with the back ache this little guy is giving me I look more like a 80 year-old woman walking around. I can feel him squirming around and kicking late and night right before bed and even Ben can feel it which is pretty cool. I look forward to feeling him move, though I know I'll be tired of him kicking my ribs in a couple months.

Other than work and baby stuff, not too much is going on. Ben will be heading to Utah in a couple weeks to attend a Superbowl party with some of his old friends and roommates. Sure, the Superbowl is in Arizona this year, but with a free plane ticket from this summer, Ben and his friends will be gathering for a weekend of TV watching, skiing and most importantly Mario Kart playing. I'm already apologizing to my parents for housing these guys in a couple weeks. They'll have fun though I'm sure. I'll be going to San Francisco in late February with my free plane ticket to see my friend Lindsey and to get away from the cold weather out here. I'm looking forward to my little getaway, even if it happens to be without Ben.

So anyway, that's the latest and greatest from us. Pictures and witty stories will come later, as soon as Ben decides that posting is more important than watching election results.

I would like to thank this blog for getting me through a boring document review assignment at work. I had sporadically listened to "This American Life" on the radio, but until Ben posted here that it was available online, I had missed most of their interesting, albeit often liberally biased, stories. I have now listened to all 60 programs on the favorites page and dream of one day meeting Tory Malatia.

Here's to the first annual SUPERBOWL PARTY! Boo-yah. Can't wait to be drinking chocolate melt and playing MarioKart, RBI baseball and Settlers until my eyeballs bleed.

Best way to use a free flight known to men. You're a legend Ben. (sang in a Flight of the Conchords voice)
