Anyway, we're due for an update on the blog and since we just celebrated Thanksgiving with both Ben's family and mine (hence the Mudfords... get it, get it?!) I have pictures to document our trip. We ventured down last Wednesday and I must say that our children were exceptionally well behaved in the car. Eleanor cried for the first 10-15 minutes, but once we got going on the freeway she slept. Ethan did his usual half-hour power nap in the car (which is usually a recipe for disaster with a 7 hour drive) and was amused by the iPod and just playing with toys in his car seat the rest of the time.
While down in VA we were able to spend time with Ben's brothers and their families, my sister, parents and almost all the cousins. Ethan was never bored, Eleanor was always in somebody's arms, Eleanor was blessed by Ben after our Thanksgiving meal (which I didn't hear much of because I was trying to hush Ethan who was repeatedly saying something about Buzz Lightyear), we enjoyed delicious meals both at home and eating out, we saw Tangled (where Ethan said midway through the movie, "I need the iPod" and "I need to get out!"), went to Dumbarton & Oaks gardens in Georgetown, and I even got to go shopping alone with my Mom and sister! Needless to say we had a fabulous time and are already looking forward to our Christmas vacation with more family and adventures.
Here is evidence of all of our fun. Lots of pictures, so keep on scrollin'.

i know, the snow, can you believe it? well actually you probably can, but isn't it gorgeous? Man, sounds like you had a blast on your thanksgiving break. Good to have you back. I'm jealous Eleanor sleeps because Calvin isn't as kind. 7 months and not once through the night. goll.
Congrats on the blessing! The pic with your mom and E is SO CUTE! That should be framed and sent as a Christmas gift or something. Love the tree/branch/bush pictures too. Glad your family wasn't blown over! ;) And is Natalie one hot chick or what?
Glad the drive was good. That could have been really painful!
We need to put that garden on our list to visit. It looks cool.
I wanted to call you, but I knew you would be busy with family and I didn't want you to feel like you needed to squeeze me in. Hopefully you will visit again soon so I can meet the cute, little Eleanor! And maybe introduce her to her future husband??
Cute pics!! Oh, I need to hold that cute baby of yours before she grows up too much! Can't wait to see you guys over Christmas!
I love that Ethan is in love with the ipod. That is so Paige too. She knows how to work the whole thing! Crazy what kids pick up on!
