Since I'm feeling under the weather today and Ethan has some crustiness forming underneath his nose, both of us decided to forgo church this morning and quarantine ourselves in our home. Ben is starting to develop what seems to be what I have, but hopefully it'll come and go before we head out on Wednesday.
We're really living in a winter wonderland here. We've had some crazy storms recently, resulting in over a foot of snow making driving to work on Friday night pretty ridiculous. I couldn't believe that people were actually out and about shopping while the roads looked like ski resort parking lots. Lots of compact snow and no indication as to where the lanes were. Luckily the snow let up a little yesterday so that driving to work wasn't so treacherous. Ben ran some errands with Ethan and got him his first Christmas present that we didn't really wait for him to open since we won't be wrapping it to bring to Utah. Here he is enjoying it:
Last night we were able to enjoy a night out thanks to a babysitter so that we could go to my work party. When we got home around 9 pm I went right to bed and didn't wake up until 7 am. Ahh, nothing like having 8 hours of sleep. Unfortunately we have tons of snow on our driveway and it's not going to clear itself, which means there's no rest for the weary.

Man, two first comments in a row!
I can't believe all that snow out there!! How does anyone go out and get anything done? I'm such a wuss when it comes to snow, but I do miss it-especially around Christmas time. I guess I do have the opportunity to maybe have a white Christmas every other year. So, that's nice.
Stay safe in all that snow!
Okay, that does not look like fun. But, I will say, today is FREEZING in VA and if it's going to be this cold it just needs to snow. Naomi has double ear-infections if that makes you feel any better...
It looks like we are trying to keep up with Rochester with all of the snow we are now getting in Utah today! Dad is having a blast on the ATV doing all of the snow plowing for the neighborhood. We are crossing our fingers that everyone will be able to get here on time and that there won't be delays on any of your flights...
I've got the permanent crustiness and raw nose too- no fun. Love your cute kid and the house.... it just looks so cozy! Are you guys ever coming to UT? Ill keep my fingers crossed.
hey can I have your address? ps. so cute!
That picture of your house is picture perfect... it should be on a card (and a reminder to me NOT to move there!!) Hope you had a Merry Christmas!!
I'm finally catching up on blogs after being gone for so long. Love all the Christmas pictures. That snow is unreal.
