Another reason we went down is that Ben's brother Sam and his wife Julie just had their 3rd child, Naomi, and we hadn't met her yet. Though we had originally planned to go out and visit next week and they were going to bless Naomi then, they were able to change the date and we were able to enjoy some time with them and able to go to the baby blessing this Easter morning. We had a great brunch afterward, and I was really surprised at how much energy Julie has with having a 3 week-old baby and 2 toddlers. She's was quite the hostess, and if you only saw how tiny she was you would never guess she JUST had a baby! Man, I've got a lot to live up to!
Another perk of going to visit down south was that we got to see some of our friends from Charlottesville. On Saturday we got to go out to lunch with our friends Kat and Trav.

Kat made some really cute letters that spell out "baby" for our nursery and a little sleeper for when our little man gets a little bigger. Thanks Kat! Though our time was short, it was great to catch up with them. Next time we see them, we'll have a baby, which is still crazy to think about. Ben and I realized as we were driving down on Friday that this will be our last road trip without a child in the backseat. Whoa.
We also got to see Cheryl who was without her husband Ryan since he's studying for his boards in Med school.
Cheryl was able to have dinner with us and the rest of the Mudrick clan and even spent the night and did the baby blessing festivities with us before heading back down to Charlottesville this morning. Sorry Ryan, but you really missed out on a good time. I felt like I was having mini baby showers here and there since Cheryl got a sweatshirt and baby book for the baby. Thanks Cheryl!
We did some shopping while we were down in VA and were given some things from Ben's parents so that our baby will be stylin' and entertained when he arrives. Looks like the Easter bunny really paid us a visit this year!
I was glad that we were able to spend part of Easter this year with family and friends. I am grateful for the blessings of the gospel in my life and how extremely blessed we are to have amazing family and friends who are so supportive and loving. I am grateful for the Atonement of our Savior, and for the plan of salvation that gives me the knowledge that I will be able to be with the people I love for forever. Happy Easter to everyone!

Yep, I think two of my siblings enjoyed that bassinette for a while! So fun that you will get to use it for your baby now. Had a great time seeing most of your family at Alison's reception Sat night... wish you had been there too!
Woah! You got quite the haul! I got the dress at Target for like $20 and the great thing is that it's not maternity so I can keep wearing it after. Highly recommend.
Don't forget the bassinet was used also in Massachusetts once for one of BILL COSBY's kids while your grandfather was making a larger version for them. So it has been on the east coast before!

Hey Amanda! I know at least one of my sisters has used that bassinet! I remember thinking how beautiful it was. You are such a cute pregnant gal by the way. That is so fun that your baby is coming soon!
