Alright, alright. You probably know this about me but if you don't, you learn something new every day. Here are 5 things about me:
1. I am a clean freak. Yes, freak is right. I can’t stand large messes (this isn’t news to a lot of people I know). Sometimes when I watch makeover shows on TV I want to gag looking at other people’s messes. Gross. The strangest part is that I was the biggest packrat when I was younger. You may still on occasion find a shoe box or two with old cards, but if you look under my bed you’ll find a whole lot of nothing. I’ll admit my apartment isn’t always pristine (I partly blame Ben), but because I’m a freak you won’t ever find a stack of dishes in the sink. When I cook, I insist on cleaning the dishes I use at the same time. I also have to clean my dishes. I’ve officially kicked Ben off of dish duty because I feel like the dishes are never clean when he does them. Sorry Ben, but you make a much better dish dryer. Another thing, I work at the Gap and to be quite honest I would much rather fold clothes and make the place look nice than deal with customers.
2. I am quite possibly the laziest person in the world. When I was younger I was pretty active, so I guess all that energy has been used up. Actually I was pretty lazy growing up too. I never liked to play sports where it required a lot of running. When I played soccer I requested to be a defender so that I wouldn’t have to run so much. Sports like softball, volleyball, karate, ice skating and tennis were my forte. I love a good stationary sport.
Sometimes I complain about not being “toned” or “in-shape” but my desire to actually to do something is pretty low. Someday my metabolism will catch up with me; then I’ll be sorry.
3. I am cheap. I will most likely buy generic anything. Sometimes you learn your lesson doing this like the time I bought facial lotion and my face was flaky and dry for like a month and a half. I eventually had to fess up to the fact that generic isn’t always the best route to go. I will buy things and then return them and then buy them back again if I know they’ve gone on sale. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve done this. It makes me upset when I’ve bought something and then weeks later see it marked down. You’d think I’d get the hint working in retail to just wait things out… but no. I will look on the internet for coupons if I know I really want something. If it’s a one coupon per person kind of deal, then I’ll bring Ben along and make him buy the second item with another coupon.
4. I talk to myself. I’m not the kind of person who talks aloud, but I go over scenarios and conversations in my head all the time. Whether it’s something that happened in the past or something that I can see happening in the future I will have these conversations with well… myself. Most of these conversations take place when I’m getting ready in the morning. I think it may have something to do with me looking in the mirror when I’m drying and straightening my hair. Yes it makes me seem weird, but it’s who I am.
5. I started this blog as a challenge from a friend (shout-out to you Beck). I’ve seen plenty of blogs in my day, but lets be honest… my life isn’t that interesting. I visit my sister in-laws photo blog practically every day and looking at hers and others’ blogs make me want to be a better writer, journalist (not the media kind, but personal journal kind) more in touch with people, a photographer, a Mom and someone of more interest. We’ll see where this thing goes. Ben may get embarrassed and ask me to stop putting our life on the internet.

I talk to myself in the crazy way, out loud. Nice to know that now I don't have to call or hang out with you guys to keep up to date. That was getting old.
Clean freak and lazy don't really go together--kind of like an oxymoron, yet I can understand what you mean. Umm, good luck with the clean freakiness when you have kids. I guess I'm the only sister-in-law to not have a blog. Maybe I will have to start that food blog I've been talking about...
Yay, I can come out of the closet too, I have been a blogger for a little bit, but thought no one would be interested. But if you're going to talk about doing dishes... shoot, I have stuff to blog about then. http://tsbruford.blogspot.com/
